Viny Sandoval is an Ecuadorian guitarist born in the province of Imbabura, in the community of Zuleta. His passion for music began in early childhood, influenced by his family environment and the musical guidance of his father and brother.
With more than 30 years of artistic experience, Viny has developed a distinctive style that fuses traditional Ecuadorian music with contemporary languages of Andean, classical, and electric guitar. His musical approach is characterized by a sensitive, technical, and deeply expressive interpretation rooted in Andean cultural identity.
He currently resides in Toronto, Canada, where he continues to promote Ecuadorian music through cultural stages, festivals, and international events, bringing Andean sound traditions to diverse audiences through an authentic and refined instrumental proposal

  • He was a member of the renowned Ecuadorian ensemble The Imbayakunas, with whom he carried out extensive artistic tours across Canada, Mexico, and the Middle East, presenting traditional Ecuadorian and Andean music to international audiences and contributing to the global diffusion of Andean cultural heritage.

  • Viny has taken part in major cultural and international events, including the Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico, representing Ecuadorian music within an important multicultural platform. In Canada, he has performed at prominent international festivals such as Beaches Jazz Festival, Salsa on St. Clair, and Hispanic Fiesta, sharing stages with artists from a wide range of musical traditions and cultural backgrounds.

  • His international experience also includes performances in Dubai at Global Village, one of the most significant cultural showcases in the Middle East, where he presented Andean instrumental repertoire to a diverse and multicultural audience.

This process was further enriched through mentorship and artistic guidance from respected masters, including Pedro Carrillo, Roberto Yarad, David West, and Henry Sánchez.
